Project 02
Net-zero farm
The pursuit of sustainable food production demands innovative solutions, particularly as controlled environment agriculture expands globally. Traditional farming, including some indoor methods, can incur significant energy costs and generate agricultural waste.
Midbar R&D is at the forefront of developing groundbreaking models to drastically reduce the environmental footprint of modern agriculture. To this end, our teams are advancing the "Net Zero Farm" project, an initiative focused on achieving complete resource circularity. Building on our proven ability to reduce water usage by up to 99% compared to conventional farming, key efforts include optimizing the farm's total energy consumption and pioneering advanced systems to recycle all drainages, a valuable nutrients for seamless reuse in subsequent cultivation cycles or for commercialization.
This is all part of Midbar's broader commitment to AgricultureBeyond Boundaries, ensuring resilient and resource-efficient food production for a sustainable future.
